Salmasio non ad Cataracten, sed ad Cestrum fluv. sita haec Urbs. 60. stadiis a mari per flumen ascendenti; unde eam maritimam faci Scylax et εν τῷ παράπλῳ Lyciae ponit, ut et Aspendum, in paraplo Pamphyliae, quae et ipsa ad Eurymedontem sita, sed a mari longiuscule, flumen acendentibus, eôdem, quô Perge, intervallô. Ptolemoeus utramque hanc urbem εν τῷ μεσογείῳ recenset, et revera sunt, sed maritimae etiam censendae, propter τὸν ἀνάπλουν, quô e mari per flumen adiri possunt. A Perga igitur, quae ad Cestrum. Scylax Pamphiliae παράπλουν auspicatur et primam in eo urbem ad Ciliciam tendenti numerat Aspendon etc. Salmasius d. l. p. 780.
